If You Thought Our Fascist Republichristians were bad

Just check out what will happen if the radical left gets their way.

Probably the most interesting thing to note is that Chavez is doing away with term limits. What’s next you ask? I’d guess voting period. Totalitarian guys aren’t big fans of voting.

Its coming here. If the Republicans can’t get away from Fascism and the Religious Right, the radical left will control things, and if you can imagine, it can get worse.

The only thing that’s worse than a government out of control is the economy tanking as well. From a purely secular standpoint of course.

  1. Justin,

I enjoy reading your posts. But referring to the Republicans as facists (or the party of bigoted right wing nutcases) tends to weaken one’s credibility (in the same way that referring to Democrats as communists does). Being passionate is admirable, but come on . . . Are you joking or are you serious?

  2. joking? serious? try retarded…

he doesn’t even respond to people’s post, especially when he knows he has no argument (like my post a few days ago).

  3. Well, let’s look and see the definition of fascism from wikipedia:

Fascism (IPA: [ˈfæː.ʃɪ.zm̩]) is a political ideology and mass movement that seeks to place the nation, defined in exclusive biological, cultural, and/or historical terms, above all other sources of loyalty, and to create a mobilized national community.[1] Many different characteristics are attributed to fascism by different scholars, but the following elements are usually seen as its integral parts: nationalism, authoritarianism, militarism, corporatism, anti-liberalism, and anti-communism.

When I read that definition, not everything about it points toward republicans, but lets see what does.

Places the nation above all sorts of other loyalties– check (if you aren’t with us, you’re with the terrorists)

Authoritarianism — this hasn’t been fully realized, but with habeas corpus suspended, the patriot act, domestic spying, etc, we aren’t that far away.

Militarism and the others are self explanatory.

I’m not saying all Republicans are fascists… but there are some that are, and the party is increasingly becoming a big government morality police, intent on destroying an enemy through military might that can’t be defeated with military might. Most of the Republicans who are thinking folks are migrating to the libertarian party or are just sitting out. The current Republican party is not the party of Barry Goldwater and not the party of Reagan that swept congress in 94. Its a populist party hell bent on keeping power, and the way its decided to do this is by pandering to the religious right and that’s not the direction our country was ever supposed to go.

Abott, I’m sorry I haven’t responded to you. I have a life outside my blog, and sometimes I don’t get a chance to respond to things.

  4. Because certain members of the party, especially at the national level, might be misdirected, I hardly believe that fits the definition for the party as a whole. disclaimer – I don’t consider myself a diehard Republican.

  5. That’s just the thing Richie, in saying that, I was referencing a certain part of the party. Not the party as a whole.
